The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) was officially launched on 27 February 2008, as the successor of the Stability Pact for SEE. As regionally owned and all-inclusive organization, RCC operates under the political umbrella of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) and supports and initiates regional cooperation in SEE. The SEE 2020 Strategy for Jobs and Prosperity in a European Perspective is a result of a memorandum signed in 2011 between SEE national governments who have supported the establishment of a joint development strategy that would coordinate individual efforts in a bid to produce a better overall effect. At the Ministerial meeting on November 9, 2012, 11 regional headline targets have been adopted, to be reached by 2020. The main purpose of this panel is to present the SEE 2020 Strategy and discuss ideas about possible forms of engagement and cooperation with Turkey in the context of this strategy. |
