Today it is hardly disputed that the route to economic, social and political developments in a given country depend largely on a working and effective legal system. TEPAV Legal Studies Center, under these assumptions, has been established to understand the current problems deriving from the Turkish legal system and propose working solutions for these. Our Center continues to expand its field of interest and academic capacity since its contribution to the constitutional reform process in Turkey in 2007.
Even though TEPAV Legal Studies Center's primary focus is Turkey, it is aware of the significance of the “comperative method” in law which would be utilised to transfer and adapt foreign legal normd and models to Turkey. The Center, plans to carry out multi-disciplinary and international projects in the future which are rarely seen in the scholarly studies of law in Turkey.
