İŞKUR became more effective; the number of job and employee applications increased.
ANKARA- The placement rate for İŞKUR applicants has increased year-on-year to 37.2 percent.
The tenth issue of the TEPAV Employment Monitoring Bulletin reports that the numbers of applications to the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) for employment and employees have been increasing.
The number of job applicants reached 103,000 by the end of July 2012, compared to a monthly average of 94,000 in 2011. Applications therefore increased by almost 10 percent.
Over the same period, the number of vacancies submitted to İŞKUR reached a monthly average of 65,000, compared to 55,000 in 2011. In other words, vacancies reported to the Agency increased by 9 percent.
It is reported that a monthly 38,000 people looking for jobs via İŞKUR were placed in jobs, implying that 37.2 out of every 100 applications were met. The ratio was 32.6 percent in 2011. Therefore, it is seen that İŞKUR has been meeting expectations at a higher rate.
