TEPAV Perakende Güven Endeksi, işyeri üst yöneticilerinin girişimin mevcut durum, son 3 aya göre durum değerlendirmeleri ile gelecek 3 aya ilişkin beklentilerini ölçen aylık eğilim anketi çalışmasına dayanmaktadır. Anket, Avrupa Topluluğunda Ekonomik Faaliyetlerin İstatistiki Sınıflamasına (NACE Rev.2) göre Perakende Ticaret Sektöründe faaliyette bulunan 500 özel sektör girişim yöneticilerine uygulanmaktadır.
TEPE, Mayıs 2008’den itibaren uygulanmakta olup sonuçları Ocak 2010’dan başlayarak referans ayı izleyen hafta içinde TEPAV internet sayfasında kamuoyu ile paylaşılmaktadır.
