The Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, with the financial support of the UNDP, organized a conference series on "The Economic Cooperation and Development of Technical Assistance for the Free Trade Agreement Signatories" with the particapation of civil servants from Turkey, Palestine, Egypt, Syria and Jordan. The event took place in Ankara on 28-29 June 2006. During the first day of the conference, TEPAV's Economist Esen Caglar made a presentation on "The Structural Transformation of the Turkish Industry and the Opportunities for Regional Integration". In his presentation, Caglar also focused on the Project on the Revitalization of the Palestinian Industrial Free Zone and shared some thoughts on possible collaboration areas between the countries of the participants such as joint Industrial Park and Investment projects.
