Ankara Forum for Economic Cooperation between Palestine, Israel and Turkey held its second meeting in East Jerusalem on June 8, 2005. The meeting took place in Notre Dame Hotel with the participation of Palestinian, Israeli and Turkish delegations.
The Forum has agreed on:
a) Forming a contact group composed of two members from each side
The appointed members are:
· Jamal Jawabreh and Amin Baidoun from the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture
· Dan Catarivas from the Israeli Manufacturer's Association and Motty Shapird from the Federation of Independents' Organizations
· Guven Sak and Mustafa Bayburtlu from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey
b) Forming a trilateral working group on tourism opportunities. The group consists of Ahmet Barut from the Touristic Hotels and Investors Association of Turkey, Amir W. Dajani from Administrative Services for the Tourism Associations in Palestine and Abraham Rosental from the Israel Hotel Association.
c) Forming a working group on the revitalization of Erez Industrial Estate. From the secretariat, Guven Sak, Samir Y. S. Hazboun and Dan Catarivas will prepare terms of reference for the working group within 10 days.
A web-site will be designed and become operational for Ankara Forum. A mission and vision statement for the Forum will be drafted by the Secretariat.
The logo annexed is adopted by the participants.
The first meeting of the Working Group I on Tourism will be held in Antalya in July 2005.
The members of the second Working Group on Revitalization of Erez Industrial Estate will visit Gaza in July 2005.
Working Groups' Reports will be presented at the third meeting of the Ankara Forum to be held in September 2005.
The third meeting of the Ankara Forum will be held in Istanbul on 21-22 September, 2005.
