65th Issue of TEPAV Employment Monitoring Bulletin is Published
Using the Social Security Institution (SSI) data for July 2017, TEPAV’s Employment Monitoring Bulletin’s 65th issue shows the number of employees in formal employment increased by 6,2 percent in July 2017 compared to July 2016 and to 14 million 196 thousand. Seasonally adjusted values show that the number of employees in formal employment increased by 202 thousand compared to June 2017.
In July 2017, the number of tradesmen and farmers increased by 2,5 percent compared to July 2016 and became 2 million 751 thousand. Considering the seasonally adjusted values, decrease in the number of tradesmen and farmers was 48 thousand compared to June 2017.
The number of public sector employees became 2 million 975 thousand with a decrease of 3,1 percent compared to July 2016. Considering the seasonally adjusted values, the number of public sector employees decreased by 2 thousand compared to June 2017.
