The second Startup Weekend event will be a 54-hour frenzy covering business idea to product development stages.
ANKARA – Garaj, which is the entrepreneurship center affiliated to TOBB University of Economics and Technology, will host the second Startup Weekend event on 5-7 April 2013. Candidate entrepreneurs will team up and, working for 54 hours together with mentors, compete for realizing their projects and developing new businesses.
Candidates must have a web, mobile or ICT-based business idea. Completed projects of candidates are not eligible for evaluation. Team members are expected to work in teams during the most of the 54-hour event to be carried out in cooperation with Viveka. There is no application fee for the event and candidates can apply online at http://swankara2013.eventbrite.com/

Startup Weekend is a global entrepreneurship marathon sponsored by Google and Microsoft. The event is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs for pitching their ideas and meeting team members. The first event in Ankara was held in October 2012, also with the facilitation of TEPAV. Fourteen teams which competed in the event developed innovative projects and had the chance to continue working on their projects at Garaj.
