TEPAV held a training program for representatives from the Prime Ministry and five other ministries to enhance participation in strategic planning processes.
ANKARA – TEPAV completed another training program for central government institutions in the context of the “Participation in Strategic Planning and Policy Development” project.
The training program, titled “Training on a Roadmap for Participation: Participation in Policy and Planning,” was carried out between October 3 and 6, 2011. The program hosted representatives from the Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Customs and Trade, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. TEPAV aims to develop a roadmap for enhancing participation in the relevant institutions.
The training program was carried out in the context of the project for “Participation in Strategic Planning and Policy Development” financed by the British Embassy Strategic Program Fund. The main beneficiary of the project was the Ministry of Development.
The training was delivered by Diane Beddoes from the London-based Office for Public Management (OPM) and covered practical information on the role of participation in devising policies for the provision of public services that are more sensitive to citizens and institutional stakeholder. Beddoes will provide online support to participants in developing draft activities for two months following the training.
