Feride Inan is the Director of the Center for Geoeconomic Studies and has been affiliated with TEPAV since 2013. Her areas of work have expanded to include global governance institutions, industrial and trade policy, with a focus on boosting technological innovation in emerging markets.
In 2015, she served as the Think-20 (T20) coordinator at TEPAV, leading T20 activities during the Turkish G20 Presidency. Subsequently, during China's G20 Presidency, she became a Visiting Fellow at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies (RDCY) at Renmin University of China in Beijing, selected as a Think 20 coordinator institution by the Chinese government. She authored a book on the G20 and Chinese perspectives on global governance, published by the New World Press in both English and Mandarin.
Feride's work encompasses projects on private sector development and regional development of value chains, particularly in Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and Eurasian transport corridors. These projects have received funding from reputable organizations such as the UNDP, the EU, the German Marshall Fund, the Swiss government, and the UK government.
Earlier in her career she worked on gender policy with Kirti Singh, who was serving at the Law Commission of India. Over the past decade, she has continued her work on gender policy, particularly concerning women's participation in the labor market, digital inclusion of women, and migrant women, collaborating extensively with OXFAM.
Between 2018 and 2022, she served as the Head of Product & Market Strategy at a wireless technology start-up founded by University of California, Berkeley engineers. In this role, she led the development of new products and guided R&D efforts to address market trends. Additionally, she played a vital role in establishing key partnerships with Intel and Edgecore Networks for the company.
Feride holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University and an MSc in International Development from the University of Amsterdam.
