What is Turkey 25?
Turkey 25 is a project carried out last year by TEPAV in cooperation with TOBB and the AllWorld Network and aims to identify the 25 fastest growing companies of Turkey. Eligible companies were ranked on the basis of gross sales revenue growth between 2008 and 2010. Winners were announced during the 2nd Global Entrepreneurship Summit held in Istanbul, on December 3, 2011. Awards were given by Parliament Speaker Cemil Çiçek, Minister of Economy Zafer Çağlayan, Minister of Development Cevdet Yılmaz, and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. The project aims to bring worldwide attention to Turkish entrepreneurs and expand their business opportunities.
The chief objective of the Turkey 25 project is to increase the visibility of fast-growth Turkish firms and strengthen their global connections. After the announcement of the list, visual and written media featured a number of stories on the listed firms. Executives of listed firms had the chance to talk about the secrets of their success on various television shows. During the 2nd Entrepreneurship Summit events, Turkey 25 companies came together with successful companies from MENA and Asia, within the network of the AllWorld.
